I have decided I will be participating in Inktober this year seeing as the stars have hopefully aligned so I can spend time doodling instead writing!
I have officially completed the first draft of book two (working title is The Red String Of Fate), and it clocks in at a hefty 147 000 words. I must say it snuck up on me. 121 scenes worth, I sat down and collated them all yesterday and a few strays today in Scrivener expecting maybe 80, 000 words or 90, 000 if I was pushing it. Yeah, squeezing in 500 words here or there builds up. Took me two years and four months.
Also I finally found a fix for that chapter rewrite I was stuck on in my first instalment, A Whispher of Destiny, and now 17 out of 33 chapters are edited. Bad news though, I will have to change the title. It happens.
I have not decided whether I will participate in Nanowrimo this year. I do have a candidate WIP lined up though. It would be nice to take a break from The Path Once Chosen for a month and work on a stand alone sci fi.
